Announcing the team for Frankenstein

Web image 2We’re delighted to announce the artistic team for our 2016/17 production, Frankenstein.

The show, which tours across the UK from September 2016 until March 2017, brings together artists with a wide variety of experience and includes faces both new and familiar!

Commissioned by Blackeyed Theatre, this brand new version of Mary Shelley’s classic Gothic tale is written by John Ginman, who also penned the script for our 2012/13 production of Dracula. Eliot Giuralarocca returns to direct, following his recent successes with The Great Gatsby, Dracula and Not About Heroes, while Ellie Verkerk joins us again as Musical Director. We’re also happy to welcome back Ron McAllister as composer, Victoria Spearing as Set Designer and Charlotte McClelland as Lighting Designer.

Working with us for the first time is Yvonne Stone, who we’re thrilled will be designing and creating puppetry. Yvonne studied Puppetry at the Central School of Speech and Drama, and her theatre credits include Terry Pratchett’s ‘Nation’, ‘Warhorse’ and ‘His Dark Materials’, all for the National Theatre, as well as ‘The Gruffalo’ for Tall Stories, ‘The Lion King’, ‘In the Night Garden – Live show’  and the National Theatre’s Jubilee Tribute. Her credits for television include the ‘Space Pirates’ (CBeebies).

Last but not least, we’re delighted to welcome Anne Thomson to design costumes. A graduate of Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance, her experience includes the West End musical ‘Wicked’, ‘Game of Thrones’ and most recently ‘Taboo’ for the BBC/FX. She’s also worked with English National Ballet, Royal Opera House and The National Theatre, as well as – more locally – South Hill Park Arts Centre on its productions ‘Alice in Wonderland’, ‘The Borrowers’, ‘Sweeney Todd’ and ‘Oliver’.

You can find out more on the show page, where tour dates will soon be announced!
